Activities

North Wales is a place to explore and enjoy a relaxing or active holiday, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The numerous blue flag beaches of the Cambrian, Lleyn, Anglesey, Llandudno and Rhyl are to the West and North.

The majestic mount Snowdon (highest in England and Wales), 15-45 minutes away in the centre, scenic Cader Idris to the South; while the green Vales of Conway & Clwyd, with their rolling hills, heather moor-lands and Chester are to the East.

Visitors are within easy distance of all; and nowhere in Britain will you find such a diverse selection of scenery and activities to satisfy all interests in such a small area. (50X100sq mls).

Activities available in North Wales

Walking Tranquil forest paths, gentle coastal walks or adventurous paths up Snowdon, have a variety of birds and vegetation to interest nature lovers.

Golf The 24 golf courses offer a choice of challenging park-land and strenuous links courses with breathtaking views and reasonable green fees – play a different 18 holes every day!

Fishing With 200 miles of coastline, numerous rivers, reservoirs, streams & coarse-fishing lakes– this is an angler’s paradise.

Climbing The rocky coastline, inland escarpments and mountainous peaks provide for all skills - with tuition available.

Cycling Cycle trails along narrow country lanes, forest, & coastal tracks or cross-country – the choice is yours.

Water Sports White water canoeing/rafting, sailing, sail-boarding, skin diving, surfing, kite surfing, sea- canoeing, swimming, dry ski slopes - take your pick.

Horse Riding Hourly, half and full day rides along coastal, forest, country tracks and narrow country lanes are available in most areas.

Outdoor Pursuits Quad biking, rally carting, hover crafts, land boarding, paint ball parks, motor safaris, horse harness racing, ice skating, hot air balloons, hang gliding – have a go.
