White water canoeing/rafting national competitions are held in Bala and Llangollen.

Coastal sports sailing, sail-boarding, skin diving, surfing, kite surfing, sea-canoeing, swimming all are widely available.

Aberdyfi; Bermo; Porthmadog; Abersoch & Pwllheli (blue flag marina) where national and international events are held annually; Aberdaron, Caernarfon; Felinheli, Holyhead; Beaumaris; Conwy, & Rhos on Sea, all have mooring provisions.

The rocky promontories are are a haven for skin divers, as is the famous Dorothea Quarry lake, while the coastal swell at Porthcieriad, Porthneigwl, Porthoer are a surfer’s paradise - take your pick of these activities, or relax on a sandy blue flag beach.
